The Betting Landscape For 2021 Players Championship Picks
Now we all know DJ is and has been playing lights out and would love to come out and snag the Players Championship at 12-1 odds - he leads the field. Can Rory repeat from 2019? That was the last time this event was held? It was called off after the first round last year due to the pandemic in 2020 (Hideki hasn't forgotten).
Last week we saw Bryson DeChambeau unleash the driver and bring home the win at Arnie's tournament at Bay Hill - this week at 16-1 odds, he could turn your $100 into $1600. Playing well all season, Rahm, Thomas, Cantlay, Hovland, and Finau will all be in the hunt. Could this be the tournament for Tony to win after his drought from the winner’s circle?
I will be placing a bet on one a few of these guys that I like to take top dawg. I'll also have a few longer shots based on how they've been playing. So here it is folks!
Dustin Johnson at 12-1 is the safe pick for The Players
These are great odds for Dustin Johnson (12-1) as most tournaments DJ is about 7.5-1 odds. He is hungry for a win and it will be a great tune-up for the Masters. He will need to hone his game for this excellent test of golf.
Viktor Hovland at 25-1 is the young gun pick at TPC Sawgrass
Viktor Hovland (25-1) has been rock solid this year, he has been at the top of the leader board for the last 2 weeks. Can he pull off a big win and take the pressure of the island green on 17? At 25-1, I like the odds and the payoff!
Patrick Reed at 35-1 is a good pick with or without some controversy
Patrick Reed (35-1) is one of the only players to make it to East Lake 8 out of the last 8 years. His game is shaping up and he's looking for some revenge after being cut last week. We know he has what it takes to win!
